Tim Atkin: Opaque color. Big, pruney, nose. Massively oaky. Low yields, quite a bit of extraction. An ambitious wine, quite tannic, and it needs time. There’s enough concentration here, but I think the tannins are just a little too dry. Almost, but not quite- 16

Alex Hunt: A super-ripe style, with quite Porty black fruit and noticeable alcohol on the nose. Large scale but broad brush, this is fairly simple stuff- 12

Anthony Rose: Very dense youthful color; slightly subdued aromatic quality, with a ripe, sweet plum and pruney character; lots of opulent, concentrated dark fruits framed by licorice spice and a chunky firm tannic backbone with good compensating acidity- 15
