Tim Atkin: Medium red/ruby. Some reduction, touch of mint, almost a Chilean style. Medium tannins, medium weight, but lacks complexity. Some pepper, fresh acidity, but a little “so what?” Drink now- 13

Alex Hunt: Pleasant ripe summer-berry-fruit aromas. Energetic, high-acid palate; tannins well managed; decent length. A good, appetizing, if not very complex drink- 14

Anthony Rose: Medium ruby; attractively aromatic notes of pepper and spice; very pleasantly approachable black-cherry-fruit quality, with supple tannins and refreshingly savory acidity; a typically well-made Kiwi Syrah in cool-climate northern Rhône style, with a tad more opulence, tannin, and alcohol- 15.5
