BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Purple, hint of garnet at the rim. Funky, slightly reductive nose. Very spicy, clovelike palate, but not enough volume or richness to balance it. The wine finishes a little thin on fruit but with quite drying tannins- 13.5

Alex Hunt: Quirky and engaging, with mint, sousbois, and plummy fruit on the nose. Relatively light and simple on the palate. Well-made, attractive in a low-key style- 13

Anthony Rose: Vivid medium ruby; some quite attractive sweetness and spice on the nose; similarly pleasantly approachable mediumweight blackberry-fruit character, with a touch of bittersweet chocolate, easy tannin, and quite juicy acidity, but just lacking a tad in definition and finishing a little on the dry side- 14.5
