Simon Field: More evolved coloring—ruby on rim— then a nose that is a shade dusty, hitherto somewhat anonymous. Palate strikingly evolved, with rather loose-knit Grenache fruit, with hints of tobacco and mocha and a somewhat incoherent tannic structure. Friendly for early drinking - 15

Alex Hunt: Very appealing aroma, full of the raspberries and pepper of Grenache. Some alcohol wafts in the mouth, but there’s fluidity and evenness here. A simple, juicy, pleasing wine - 14

John Livingstone-Learmonth: Sober, quite dark red; reductive first air, as if Syrah were prominent. The nose has some tobacco, leather, pepper aspects present; a shade of rusticity here. Homespun style of wine: The fruit is a little stretched; the tannins veer toward dryness. Eat country food with this. The palate fruit is baked. Decant, and drink before 2017 - 11
