Andrew Jefford: Steel white. Delicate scents of sweet-pea flower and a little acacia. There is also a faint note of onion underneath, though (which is also varietal, of course). Expressive and attractive overall, I’d say. Vivid, deep, and thrusting on the palate, with some … well, if you like it, you might call it pungency, but for me a kind of rigid forcefulness, with a slightly bitter and brutal finish. Perhaps I’m being hard, though; on a hot day, this avowedly cool-climate wine would provide plenty of refreshment. 83
Andreas Larsson: Youthful and pale color, with a slight spritz. Closed at first, displaying green apple, herbs, lime, and kiwi aromas. The palate is on the lighter side, marked by a youthful acidity, a slight phenolic/ skin contact sensation, and restrained fruit-like barely ripe green apple; fresh and crisp, for sure, but lacking the volume and length to be really convincing. 82
Jancis Robinson: Pale greenish straw, with a hint of spritz. Light, pretty, unemphatic nose. This is in the minerally spectrum of aromas—a relatively assertive Sancerre taste-alike. Just a little phenolic on the finish. But the impact on the palate is pretty delicate. Bone-dry and appetizing. Drink 2014–17. 89
