BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford: Saturated opaque black-red. St-Estèphe in meatier mood—but there’s a little green leaf here to give the wine some lift. Firm, meaty, full, and expansive on the palate. The tannins, by contrast, are relatively soft and unforbidding, and this wine can easily be broached now for its exuberant commune style: blackcurrant, stone, cool clay, a whisper of minty freshness. 2017–20. 89

Michael Schuster: Dumb, red-fruited nose; full, fresh, lightly tannic; lively, mineral-infused, red-fruited flavor, nice depth, lightly aromatic, good length; a tasty middle-rank St-Estèphe. 2018–24. 87
