Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red. A different seam of inspiration here from the commune’s more generous wines like Lascombes or Prieuré- Lichine; this has ravishing fruit purity and lift, albeit with just a little pressed-leaf behind the sculpted blackcurrants. That, though, serves a freshening role, and overall this wine is a huge aromatic success. On the palate, all of that purity and finesse is amply apparent in a cascade of sheer, fine-grained fruits. Lovely, graceful, almost monastic—a Burgundian seam, in short. Nothing raw, sharp, or hard here. 2018–25. 91
Michael Schuster: Both sweet fruit and a lightly herbaceous character; medium-full, fresh in acidity, finely firm in tannin; like the nose, the sweet fruit is also tinged with a faintly herbaceous character, the complexity is there, and the length, but also the presence of some less than absolutely ripe fruit. Good, but you have to like the style! 2024–35. 90
