Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark, saturated black-red. Lashings of oak, but the fruit is generous enough, too. Sturdy Margaux packed with vigorous, chunky, coal-dust fruit and backed by firm acids. A kick-back-andenjoy Margaux for a winter’s night. 2018–25. 90

Michael Schuster: Light and lightly oaky nose; medium-full, crisp in acidity, finely tannic; sweet-fruited, juicy flavor, refined and complex within the slightly oakdry texture; long and refined, but a little pinched by its new wood tannin for the moment. Fine Margaux, but I’m not sure the oak dryness will ever disappear completely. 2024–40+. 91
