Andrew Jefford: Deep, saturated black-red. Certainly the best levels of aromatic complexity among the Haut-Médoc wines, La Lagune has ample blackcurrant, as well as some plum and black cherry in a serious, grown-up, “true claret” style. On the palate, the wine has depth and drive and finesse, modest textural wealth, balanced acids, and impressive finishing complexities: an excellent 2012. 2018–26. 90
