Andrew Jefford: Deep, dark saturated red-black. This (bottle 2) has a lovely juicy, exuberant aroma, with more pure-fruit lift than the almost sumo-style Branas Grand Poujeaux. There’s also a little bit of the slabby clay reduction to which the commune is prone, but overall the effect is impressively perfumed and chic. On the palate, this is deep, ripe, warm, soft and amply fruited, with admirable textural depths and finishing resonance. An excellent effort: bravo! 2018–28. 91

Michael Schuster: Crisp, blackcurrant Cab nose; very nicely balanced, rich medium-weight, fresh, finely tannic; juicy, sapid, savory claret; a tasty blackcurrant flavor, lightly minerally, nice length to taste and to finish. Complete and satisfying. 2019–30. 89
