Michael Schuster: Deep purple; sweet, fat, ripe fruit and clear oak cedar; rich, firmly tannic wine, with both plenty of fruit and plenty of acid and tannin structure, too; crisply ripe to taste, behind a firm fruit and wood tannin, long and savory. Chambertin sinew clear, and good length too, but will need at least 10–15 years to mellow. A very good, rather than a great grand cru, but all the elements are there—given time. 2017–30 .
