Andrew Jefford: Saturated dark black-red. Cedary, warm, lifted, almost resinous scents with some obvious oak. Intense and dark sloe fruit on the palate, with squeezed, tight tannins and plunging acidity. The overall result is stark and dramatic but not very relaxing or easy to drink at this stage—but with acidity this high, I don’t see the wine softening with time. First-class fruit, however, and if you like claret with a very vivid balance, it may be worth looking at this. (I would find it hard to drink.) 2018–28. 90
