Andrew Jefford: Saturated midnight black. Oaky, rich, and full, with lots of licorice perfumes, white pepper, and other spices. This is a sweeter and warmer wine than Pavie Macquin, very generous and ripe-fruited, with admirable tannic structure and lingering extracts. Very impressive and admirable, though like all the Pavie family, it will need a long time. This is very stern, very dense, very long, very concentrated. 2020–30. 93
