Andrew Jefford: Deep, saturated black-red. Very pretty scents of sweet, sugar-dusted plums, fur, and leather. Rich, round, and resonant in flavor, with super tannins: ample and soft. A little alcoholic warmth is palpable, and this is a genuinely low-acid wine where the tannin profile provides structure and balance. It has a sound but not intense fruit and good length: a friendly classic. Delicious mid-term Pomerol. 2018–23. 91
Michael Schuster: Dense, ripe, blackberry-fruit nose; fullbodied, finely, drily tannic; a generous fruit, rich and ripe, currently a bit dominated by its new oak dryness; nice length of flavor, and nice length to finish, but likely to be oak-chewy for many years. 2021–30. 89
