Andrew Jefford: Saturated deep black-red. Fragrant, lifted, and fresh, with a lightly leafy cast that not everyone will relish. On the palate, too, it is one of the vintage’s lighter and more aerial wines: very graceful and gracious, ample in terms of mid-palate fruit, and deftly supported by creamy tannins. A complete La Fleur-Pétrus in other words, in all its gravel-soiled finesse, but the lightly leafy cast will be a little controversial. 2018–24. 91
Michael Schuster: Caramel-sweet Merlot with the merest hint of leafiness to smell; rich, full, finely tannic; deep, sweet, spicy flavor, long and fresh, gently complex and aromatic, sapidly attractive tannin texture, a seductive sweet persistence. Fine La Fleur-Pétrus. Needs time, will be very attractive. 2025–40+. 93
