Andrew Jefford: Saturated dense black-red. Very ripe, and still in the brooding stage at present: little messages of truffley, brandied warmth and chocolate-enrobed fruits reach the nose, but the full blast is still a year or two away. Something just a little bit raisiny about the fruit tugs it back from one of the highest scores, but there is much to enjoy here. This is rich and mouth-filling, with a bugle blast of spicy fruit. It is ripe but completely untorpid, too: lively, fresh, meaty, engaging. The tannins are ample and brisker than some; there is acid support. A firstrate Gazin. 2018–27. 92

Michael Schuster: Crisply ripe cassis fruit on the nose; full, firmly but finely tannic; rich and sweet in flavor, warm, gently spicy, moderately complex, still quite chewy in tannin, but with good, fragrant length. Nice, solid, middle-rank Pomerol. 2021–30+. 89
