Tim Atkin: Mid-ruby. Ripe, aromatic nose. Firmish, blackcurrant-pastille palate. Good structure; still young and will develop. Fine tannins, good length. Good potential. 2–5 years. Refreshing finish. 16

Alex Hunt: A youthful nose—even quite primary, still—with fresh blackcurranty fruit to the fore. The palate is heftily extracted, giving the wine a certain “frozen in time” feel. It should have developed more by now, but remains quite thick and chewy. 12.5

Anthony Rose: Good, vivid ruby-purple; nicely perfumed, pungent mulberry-fruit nose, and ripe, opulent mulberry-fruit flavors. Charmingly vivid, ripe fruit with supple tannins and excellent freshness; overall, a very seamlessly fruity and intensely flavored red that does credit to its producers and region. 17.5
