Tim Atkin: Youthful purple/ruby. Alcoholic, faintly confected nose. Palate much better. Firm, concentrated, good rigor, structure, and complexity. Still young. Medium tannins. Good length. 15.5

Alex Hunt: Baked-banana and cooked-berry aromas. Fresher on the palate—an enjoyable, juicy, rambunctious mouthful. 13.5

Anthony Rose: Vivid, dense, youthful ruby. Still a tad closed on the nose, but nice, vibrant, fresh mulberry and damson fruit on the palate, with nicely integrated oak and firm, slightly drying tannins. Chunky on the aftertaste, but overall a very well-made rich and satisfying red that needs food to show at its best. 16
