BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Intense, bright ruby. Ripe, assertive, fruit-laden nose, with no obvious oak. Soft, cherry and raspberry fruit on the palate. Commercial, easy-drinking red, with smooth tannins. A wine to drink now or over the next 1–3 years. 14

Alex Hunt: Open, relatively fresh fruit aromas—plums and berries—with perhaps a trace of farmyardy Brett, but not excessive. Quite sleek fruit on the palate, with marked acidity and a fairly lively feel that suggests a cooler site. Not yet ready to drink, since the acidity needs to soften. And it will always be a relatively light style. 13.5

Anthony Rose: Dense color. Pleasant red-fruit quality; quite good, fresh, elegant, plummy red fruits, with soft tannins and damsony acidity. Slightly hollow on the mid-palate, with some rustic tannins on the aftertaste, but still youthful, elemental, and needing time. 14.5
