BUY THE WINE

Tim Atkin: Bright, youthful purple/violet. Very aromatic, almost Syrah-like. Summer fruits, with some licorice and spice. Quite serious on the palate, with medium-weight tannins, refreshing acidity, and oak adding an extra dimension. But it’s the fruit that really sings. A lovely glass of wine. 15.5

Alex Hunt: Aromatically, an interesting mixture of warm-climate characters—roasted, almost dusty fruit—and cooler notes of currant, even currant bud. On the palate, the marriage is not a happy one. There is some flavor cancellation that leads to a rather flat overall impression. The whole is less than the sum of its parts. 11

Anthony Rose: Mid-ruby. Slightly funky, meaty nose, pleasant red-fruit aromas and flavors. Good fresh acidity and supple tannins initially but slightly hollow middle, ending a tad rustic and chewy on the finish. 13.5
