Behind that hardness, though, is impressive complexity, wealth, and depth of flavor, with lots of secondary richness to enjoy: a serious contender. 83

The palate is broad and bold, with mild acidity, present alcohol, and dried fruit; it has quite a lot of up-front opulence but not a lot of freshness or finish.
