SB | There are lush stone-fruit aromas here, and a light floral character. It's quite honeyed, too, but it's not overly sumptuous or plump. Although rich on the palate, there's a powerful if slightly austere, mineral tang here, too, which gives the wine a bracing and distinctly saline character. Perhaps there's a slight lack of acidity, compared to other wines here, but it doesn't lack vigor and drive, though that does suggest it's nearing its peak. 91
AJ | Bright gold. Not quite fully attractive on the aroma, without a lot of fruit and with some notes that seem almost chemical. Perhaps a little orange, too? But I am struggling to see the appeal here. The palate is better than the aromatic profile, and there is fruit here to relish, but the definition is soft-focus and (despite the acidity) the wine lacks pungency and impact. 84
SR | This 2019 Jurançon displays an intense golden-yellow color and opens with a perfectly ripe and honeyed, as well as a savory and lemon-scented bouquet, with some saline nuances. On the palate, this is a tight, fresh, and linear, rather lean but always refreshing Jurançon, with medium body but lots of energy, vitality, and tension. The finish is fresh and reveals lemon rind aromas. A real character. 90
