SB | A muted nose, with hints of apricot and salinity. The attack is lively, dry, and a touch earthy, concentrated and firm. Still austere, but this gives character and grip. The acidity is assertive without being too aggressive, and gives the wine its overall vigor and thrust. The mineral bite on the finish is welcome and carries the wine nicely along the palate. Balanced and long. 91
AJ | Mid-straw-gold. Mellow, lush, almost buttery, with a wild-flower richness and some cut white mushroom. Attractive and expansive, though you might almost guess it would be off-dry. A little too much evident sulfur dioxide takes the edge off the purity, though. Sinewy and dry, but without the fruited precision one hopes for. Perfectly drinkable but a little straightforward and uneventful; a true Jurançon balance, nonetheless. 86
SR | This lemon-yellow 2020 Jurançon shows a clear, quite intensely aromatic bouquet of fully ripe fruits, especially juicy lemons, intertwined with discreet but elegant notes of crushed stones. Refined and elegant on the palate, this is a concentrated, saline, and balanced Jurançon, with stimulating bitters and lemon freshness on the finish. Refreshing rather than complex or intense. Fish would be the best partner, and lunch the best time to enjoy it. 87
