SB | Lightly honeyed on the nose, clearly ripe and showing charm and delicacy in its gentle floral tone. Tart attack, which is a surprise after the ripeness of the nose, and the fierce acidity dominates the palate. Assertive and punchy, and consequently austere. Within its own stylistic parameters, it works, as there's no overt greenness. Bracing and long, if rather one-dimensional. 88
AJ | Bright, pale gold. Softly expressive tropical fruits: pineapple and papaya. Gently attractive, though not high-focus (and some free sulfur). Clean and fresh, with the usual tart acidity; that acidity, though, carries the grape and pineapple fruits well. A touch phenolic, but perhaps that adds to the wine's impact and sappiness; a sense of pungent grip at the end. Very clean as well as rigorous: enjoyable. 89
SR | The wine shows an intense lemon-yellow color and offers a concentrated, savory fruit, with lemon-zest aromas intermingled with some stony notes. The fruit is ripe and intense, yet also fresh and even lightly tannic, which gives the wine an authentic character. Medium-bodied, this is a concentrated, rural rather than fine Jurançon sec, with a lively acidity and lime and grapefruit bitters on the saline and quite tannic finish. Good length. Should be excellent when paired with porc. 87
