SF | Pale stucco lemon, with large bubbles crowning the glass. The nose is discreet, classic, and interesting; crushed almond, lemongrass, and a hint of the vestry. The palate is rather more foursquare, maybe a function of youth, maybe the result of modest oak intervention, but there is less charm than expected, and an almost-austere, aldehydic rigor, which is hard to read at the moment. 90
EA | Medium-deep lemon color. Pronounced nose, with a slight lift to it. Sweet, super-ripe fruitiness, with apricot, mandarin, and red apple. It comes with a rich toastiness, as well as hay and ash notes. The palate has good volume, but the fruity appeal all starts to dry out toward the back-palate. Austere finish, with vegetal notes and a drying sensation to it. 2023–31. 92
TH | Creamy yellow apple, spice, and some developed, oxidative tones here, but also some pear-tart sweetness and an integrated mousse. This shows some moderation in 2015, bristling but not hard or overly phenolic, only lightly marked by some herbaceous tones. Worthy of a little time in the cellar. 87
