AJ | Very deep black purple-red; opaque at the core. Warm and almost flamboyant, with citrus-peel-spiced fruits and a savoury counterpoint to the fruits beneath; complete and intriguing. Pure, smooth, gathered and allusive, with ample freshness; the tannins are floating and gossamer. Very Margaux, yet a wine of ample personality too. Refined and long, with a breath-freshening finish.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2034. 92
MS | Slightly oak marked nose, still quite closed; nicely balanced, medium full, fresh, finely dry in tannin; elegant, even, a touch new wood dry in texture, crisply ripe, a nice subtlety to taste, a gentle grip, Margaux restraint and with a light, fruit fragrant finish. Very nice, ideally needs a few years to soften. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2037+. 90
