AJ | Dark black-red; not quite opaque. Soft, ripe, rather creamy: a languid blackcurrant charm here. Ample gentle charm. This is exactly what you find on the palate though -- being a classic `19 -- the fruited intensity takes you by surprise. Mouthfilling, stylish and long, with perfectly judged ripeness. The fruit flesh provides as much texture as the soft tannins do.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2032. 90
MS | Fresh, gravelly, lightly blackcurrant cabernet, already nice to smell; nicely balanced midweight, fresh and finely tannic; elegant, even, crisply, juicily fruit ripe, with a gentle length of flavour and excellent persistence. Margauxesque. You could broach this now, but there is plenty of time in hand. Drink Dates: 2024 - 2038+. 90
