Chateau Rahoul Graves Bordeaux France 2019 (14% ABV) — 88.5
AJ | Dark black-red though not opaque. Sweet, engaging, with both plants and fruit in the dance, tendrils and grapes; unrefined but attractive. A big flood of fruit on the palate in fresh style, lively and energetic, with an electricity to its acidity; perfectly ripe for all that. Very good Rahoul -- and outside the Bordeaux peer group [as always for this tasting] it might well score a point of two more than we can give it alongside its battalions of peers.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 90
MS | Gently gravelly to smell, a nice Pessac-Léognan character, with a lightly ripe blackcurrant fruit; medium full wine with a gently dry tannin and nice defining freshness, an excellent lesser Graves balance; sweetly, but freshly ripe in fruit, modest in scope and length, but easy, lightly juicy and very pleasant at its level. Could drink with pleasure already, but it will mellow with a few years too. Attractive lesser Graves. Drink Dates: 2024 - 2029. 87
