SF | Slightly browning at the rim, with a blood-brick core and plenty of grip on the glass. The slightly oxidative nose muffles precision and compromises description; savory, maybe, or just plain compromised. The palate has figs and white chocolate, but feels a little flat; lackluster, unsure of its future direction of travel, should one be inclined to monitor its destiny. 85
AJ | Translucent blood-red with garnet glints. There is a lifted strawberry sweetness here, and it's pretty and enticing. A meatiness behind, too; some nascent complexity here. Finally a toffee note. Smooth, tangy, open, and scrutable, and clearly a member of the “tawny” branch. Oxidative, secondary, open, concentrated, satisfying. 2024–27. 88
RM | Lovely, mid-deep garnet, with a tawny rim; gentle plum and ripe berry aromas, with a spiced-savory undertone from aging in cask; similarly soft, gentle, and sweet on the palate, with a vestige of tannic spice which sets off the finish; good definition, and a very attractive young Colheita. 88
