EA | There is some depth to the lemon colour. Profoundly fruity nose of soft appeal. Florally scented with heaps of ripe applea and pear. even apple jam and lemon custard tart. A whild oxidative whiff lines it all. Sweetly fruity with marmalade and fruit drops emerging on the lush, broad palate. There is a laser-like quality to the acidity that cut through the vinous and fruity whole. Long and dry ending with appley tartness at the finish.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2029. 91
SF | Modest straw colour, tumbleweed maybe. Accomplished nose of macadmaia, posset and nectarine; generous, ripe and precocious. Little by way of autolytic development, bit that is fine in a quality wine whci is limnerig up. Fine interplay between acidity and citric fruti, between a bready youthful playfulness and a firm citric undertow. Still a little unformed, but not lacking for potential. 91
AR | This is a pale but rich golden colour with a lively, persistent bead of bubbles; and as soon as you put nose to glass, there's a strikingly intense aromatic quality that draws you right in, thanks it seems , to an autolytic, nutty complexity and Cornish ice cream sweetness from its time |(four years + perhaps); the stone fruit and apple fruit is equally full-flavoured and almost decadently rich for an extra brut, perhaps from 2019 relative low yields; running through that richness like cheesewire is a fine streak of tangy acidity for the maintenance of flavour and balance; this may be a little over the top hedonistic for some, but not for me.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 94
