EA | Medium-deep lemon colour. Sweetly fruity, slightly lifted nose with a stylish oaky undernote. Rather expressive with age-driven complexities, honey and yeasty richness. Ambitious as a whole with intensity and fruity depth. The mousse is slightly coarse and expansive but the palate vinous and mouth-filling. Excellent acid structure and long and salivating fruity length.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2032. 93
SF | Soft corn colour, with a gentle bead. A firm aromatic of white chocolate, fig and yellow plum. Acacia too. A firm, almost muscular palate, phenols to the fore, late season fruit almost aggressive, yet still primary; A chewy, almost foursquare style, not obviously a Blanc de Blancs, almost angular. Maybe a little oak has unsettled things briefly; one to revisit down the track. Brut nature par excellence, for all that. 91
AR | Pale lemon in colour, this has a curious high-toned sweet nuttiness of aroma, like homey-dipped grilled almonds with an underlying savoury note; there's an expansive mousse when you taste with lots of tang and zest in the underlying citrusy streak that underpins that entire enterprise; I like the full-flavoured, leesy fruit quality and that tang that comes with a wine with a northerly exposure, , and while it's labelled brut nature, there's mopre than enoiugh fruit to balance out the dry finish.Drink Dates: 2024 - 2030. 91
