SF | Dense concentrated ruby colour and a slightly reticent aromatic; woodsmoke and plum skin as a backdrop. Somewhat foursquare with an almost monolithic block of fruit at its core, behind that juniper, bitumen and blackcurrant leaf. A little unyielding in its youth, but plenty of classicism and authority in reserve, 89
AJ | Dark, dense, midnight black-purple. Warm, fresh, curranty, vegetal (but ripely so), sweet-edged, affable and open aromas. The palate is bright and fresh though relatively cool and slender. This is a high site and the wine seems to lack a little warmth and wealth in this vintage.Drink Dates: 2025 - 2030.
