AR | Deep and dark in colour, the apparent youthfulness here shows promise and the fragrance, cherryish, lightly herbal, sweet, rather confirms that initial promise; there's some full-flavoured, opulently ripe red and dark cherry in the fruit here which halfway through the mouthful veers towards the savoury with some attractive balsamic notes buoyed by fresh acidity and extremely ripe (but not overripe) tannins that add to a silkiness of texture; the structure is there however for good ageing potential. Drink Dates: 2025 - 2035. 93
MP | Discreet and subtle nose with strawberry, cherry and red currant. The palate is dominated by the structural integrity of the acidity which supports the red currant, strawberry, cranberry and raspberry fruit. Oak is very much in the background here and the fruit adds a reassuring layer of complexity. The acidity suggests a long life ahead of it. Drink Dates: 2026 - 2034. 92
