AJ | Dark, saturated black-red, opaque at the core. Fragrant, light and lifted: great aerial charm here, and this wine almost contrives to elude the suspicion of green which hovers over the vintage's fruit as a whole. Fresh and rose-scented; great grace. An impressive second-wine aromatic. Svelte, mouthfilling and full: splendid quick-fresh fruits here, yet they are aromatic and structured too, and even have a little black-chocolate charm behind the cool cassis. Very skilful and assured second wine. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2040. 91
SF | Deep colour, saturated, ten a nose of stewed damson, Morello cherry and forest floor. An attractive nose in other words. Lovely chalky grip of tannin and a purity of dark fruit mark out the palate and underline its inherent quality. The textural weave is filigreed and extremely elegant. The finish is generous but disciplined, a soft sweetness to the fore, very accomplished, in other words. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2036. 92
