AJ | Saturated, dense opaque black-red. Warm, soft, teasing and drily leafy, with softly incense-infused fruits. Elegant and attractive. Dense and firm, with the very bright acidity which seems to characterise Pauillac in this vintage. Perky, bright wine, set fair for the medium term. Lots there. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2037. 90
SF | Rich ruby. The nose recalls licorice, rhubarb, quince and loganberry, a fairly esoteric selection. Fruit and spice in short. Also hints of almond and pipe tobacco. The rigours of an organic approach engendered a low yield and , it seems, fruit which was quite challenged; this wine appears a little lean, slightly vegetal. Conversely, the tannins are neatly defined and the acidity lends an elegant structure. Not without virtue and not without merit, therefore.... Drink Dates: 2026 - 2031. 89
