BUY THE WINE

AJ | Dark though not opaque (and a bit paler than stablemate La Louviere). Light beech and chestnut leaf notes as autumn draws on. Softly spoken aromatics here. Concentrated but a little awkward in expression at this stage. However the wine has energy and drive: arrow-like fruit, and some palpable tannins bringing structure. Give it a little time. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2033. 86
SF | Deep saturated ruby, bright. The nose is refined and elegant, if of only modest intensity. Crushed berries and a hint of anise. The red fruit traverses the fruit with authority, supported by surprisingly plush tannins and a ripeness which fails to stray into the purview of over-extraction. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2036. 91
