AJ | Glowing deep black-red, but not opaque at the core; scarlet meniscus. LIvely, fresh, boisterous fruits: lots of rounded currant and plum with some sweeter rosepetal and dried bay. Attractive and accessible. This is what you'll find on the palate, allied to rod-like though ripe acidity. Exuberant, deep and vital, but I would drink this almost edgy wine before too much time has passed in order to keep everything in balance Drink Dates: 2027 - 2035. 88
SF | Dense colour, richly saturated, opaque at the core. Pastille, licorice, pepper ( white and black) and iodine all congregate on the nose. Ditto the palate, which is pure of definition and fine-tuned in terms of the interplay between acid and tannins. A resinous seam of acidity preserves freshness which takes on an almost menthol aspect. Focused and elegant, its tannins also elegantly of construction and discrete in their respect for this lighter vintage. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2035. 89
