AJ | Dark, saturated red black, just off opacity. Fresh and lively, well balanced, with ample vintage charm without exaggeration or deformity. Light and relatively tart on the palate, with plenty of zesty red fruits. The bolt of acidity is definitely its primary structuring device and I'm not sure this will soften with tmie, so best to enjoy this very alert, fresh wine in its youth. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2031. 85
SF | A rich velvety colour and an equally generous nose, which marries the sweet and the savoury pleasingly , adding teasing notes of aniseed, dill and herbs from the kitchen garden. Tar, spruce and white tobacco are all espied and happily conjoined to the dark fruit core. The acidity is pronounced but not so much as o overwhelm the structure, which is bolstered by elegant and ripe tannins. Plenty of matiere, but not too much by way of extraction. An impressive effort. Drink Dates: 2027 - 2037. 89
