Alison Buchanan: Deep mahogany/amber, this has a delicious nose—layered mocha, sultana, and cream. These are echoed on the palate, allied to nuances of nuts, pastry-shop character, and marmalade. Succulent and supremely rich, still with enough freshness to allow focus, but loses slightly on a rather clipped finish. 15.5

Jesús Barquín: Deep chestnut. Clean and fruit-driven, with good oxidative structure. The palate is fresh, well integrated, complex, and long, but the finish shows a little heat. 15.5

Julian Jeffs: Deep color. Some volatile acidity on the nose, that also showed on the palate, leaving a fresh impression but not much length. 11
