Simon Field: Warm color, an attractive nose, with a distant reminder of old barrels, floral notes, and a hint of caramel. The charcoal notes are slightly too evidenced in the mouth, together with a slightly “foxy” note. A slight disappointment, since the underlying quality and index of concentration and complexity appear to be high. 15.5

Richard Mayson: Mid-amber. Rich, warming aroma of dried figs. Full figgy flavor nicely offset by crisp acidity rising in the mouth toward the finish. Long and rich without being overpowering. A very good example of where Colheita fits in. 16

Margaret Rand: Round, rich wine with cheesy pungency. Not enormously distinguished, but it packs a punch. Cheerful, lively, likable wine, complete and with decent length. 14.5
