BUY THE WINE

Alison Buchanan: Very attractive yellow gold in color, this was rather closed when we tasted, just hinting at soft floral notes, buttercups and freshly mown grass. The palate is steely, piercing in its direction and very mineral. Rather academic as a wine, undoubtedly serious and focused, it nonetheless lacks charm despite its thoroughbred features. Rather stalky, bitter minerality on the finish. 13

Alex Hunt: Quite muted and earthy at the moment. Some richness on the palate but the fruit is a little dulled, the finish on the bitter side. 12.5

Andrew Jefford: Light to mid–gold. Fresh but relatively brittle aromas; lacks aromatic upholstery. Sulfur is slightly heavy–handed, but not obtrusively so. Intense, crisp, again slightly brittle, with some minerality and flintiness in the finish. Pure, classic and enjoyable. 13.5
