BUY THE WINE

Alison Buchanan: Weird un–Sancerre like toasted, caramelized nose with some gooseberry fruit just edging its way through. The palate is much more of a classic though, with a certain atypical honeyed richness throughout, underpinned by a firm minerality and bright, nervy acidity. 14.5

Alex Hunt: The nose is worryingly mossy, and the palate confirms that these grapes were not picked in perfect health. 10

Andrew Jefford: Pale gold. Horribly oniony at first sniff, though as usual it clears with aeration. Nothing particularly attractive follows, though. Very acid; simple. Concentrated, but highly acidic wines usually are; we need seduction, too…9.5
