Tim Atkin: Mid-ruby, some development. Strangely confected nose: oak and sweet fruit. Very dry tannins, quite extracted, acidic, rather subdued fruit. High-acid finish. Tannins drying the fruit out. Leafy, prematurely aged. 8
Gerard Basset: Medium-light ruby; fairly open nose. Red fruit, raspberry and blueberry. Tight on the attack, firm and quite assertive; medium-short finish. 14.5
Anthony Rose: Mid-ruby, quite forward and evolved in color; sweet licorice spice and red fruit on the nose; this is rather sweet, baked, and jammy on the palate, feels quite alcoholic and chunky in firm acidity and tannins, without enough fruit concentration to carry it through. Rustic on the finish. 13
