Nicolas Belfrage: Color code 6. Dried-fruit and mineral, almost medicinal aromas. The first wine with excessive acidity vis-à-vis the fruit, underlining the medicinal message and making it slightly hard work. Interesting but not voluptuous or particularly well structured. 12.5
Michael Edwards: Amber/gold. Sweetness and acidity in decent balance; a slightly dispensary smell of syrup of figs. Certainly sweet but not sickly; a sense of alcohol, a touch of fire. 15
Jancis Robinson: Pale orange, with a very pale rim. Sweet, with slight decay on the nose. One of the drier, tarter examples, with relatively high volatility and a hint of mousiness. Dry, chewy finish. Definitely better before a meal than after. Grainy texture. Drink 2007–12. 15
Franco Ziliani: Very sunny and fascinating color; full of energy. The nose displays a very oxidative aspect, with excessive alcohol. Very dry on the palate, maybe too dry, with good acidity and freshness, salty notes, and bitter-orange character but no great complexity—and the finish is too bitter and lackluster. 14.5
