Bruno Besa: Garnet to tawny. Closed, clean, mineral, red-fruit, and aromatic herb nose. A touch green on the palate, with a lively, mineral, if slightly diluted finish. 89
Andrew Jefford: Deep black-red; clear, glowing. Earthy and warm, complex, rounded, harmonious; ample glowing fruits. Sound and enticing. This is very good, very assured: bright and intense, with the acidity and the tannins in brisk lockstep with the redcurrant and cranberry fruits. Great concentration and wealth; a long finish. Marked by the almost fierce energy of the year but classic within that frame. Impressive and authoritative wine. 91
Michael Palij: Obvious nose, with candied red-cherry fruit, this is simple and slightly confected, with stewed plums and raspberry jam in evidence. Redeems itself slightly on the palate, with better definition of red fruit and elegant floral notes of violets and rose. The tannins are firm and the acidity provides the guardrails, but it lacks concentration. 89 Pale garnet to pink. Closed, slightly reduced nose, with a spicy, complex character, mineral, with intense, forest-floor undertones. Ripe palate, with slightly green tannins and an intense sour-cherries character. Complicated wine that probably needs time to show a more positive side to its character. | 91
