Essi Avellan: Pale peach-toned color. An overt nose, with a ripe, appley profile. Vanilla, apple jam, and peach compote. Austere, yet there’s a sweet fruitiness, too. A slight tartness to the fleshy palate, which finishes with a harsh, drying note. 88
Simon Field: Straw color, canvas or a subtle suede; the nose is forward and majoring on a citric-red fruit cross-over; the palate is persuasive, with hints of chamomile, white chocolate, and griotte, the sugar a little intrusive, but lending, nonetheless, a pleasant kiss of quinine, grilled almond, and even soft coconut. A diverse feast, in other words, maybe not completely knit together, a Gaudi building, perhaps, some of its features apparently gratuitous but not without a capacity to make one smile. 87
Anthony Rose: A very pale rose-gold in color; there are light peppery and nutty notes in the aroma of this fizz; plenty of ripe-fruit flavors and juicy-textured bubbles, which are quite winey after dissolving rapidly on the tongue, and with a certain degree of grip on the finish, giving this fizz and nicely dry, food-wine feel. 92
