Essi Avellan: Evolving lemony color. Very sweet, confected nose of cherry and strawberry fruit. Sweet yet fresh palate, with delicious fruit and a silky texture. Appealing whole, drinking well today. 90

Simon Field: A bright straw-yellow; bubbles aplenty; the nose is somewhat nondescript thereafter, the palate redolent of tobacco, forest floor, quince, and hints of lanolin and orchard fruit. Quite tight, lacking autolytic personality, and quite tannic on the finish. 87

Anthony Rose: Pale gold in color, there’s a sweet apple-turnover and spice note in the aroma that’s rather appealing; an attractive berry-fruit ripeness, with plenty of secondary toasty notes in a fizz that’s full-flavored, concentrated, and winey; showing plenty of character, and finishing on a nicely dry note. 90
