Michel Bettane: Big color, nice, spicy nose, complex, ripe, hints of tobacco, a sense of terroir, well made and up to expectation. Wait 6–8 years. 17
Thierry Desseauve: Dark garnet, good oak and good ripe fruit, big body, excellent balance, real length. High potential. 16.5
Michael Schuster: Dense in ripe fruit to smell, lightly minerally, too; very nicely balanced, elegant, and even Médoc, restrained in style in the context of the year; fresh, finely tannic, and with a fine, gently minerally flavor, some complexity, and good length. Classic lesser claret, very nice Belgrave. The restrained extract and fine tannins will mean it is accessible relatively early. 2017–25+. 15.5
