BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red in color, not far off opaque. Fresh, clear, forthright blackcurrant, black-pepper and capsicum scents. Clean and invigorating. Intense, concentrated though relatively lean flavors, with the emphasis clearly on acidity and some greenness apparent in the drive and shake of the acidity. Attractive “claret for fish” if chilled when young, but not a wine to stash away in quantity. | 85

Michael Schuster | Dumb, lightly gravelly nose; medium-full, crisp in acidity, very little tannin; light, fresh red-fruit flavor, withatouch of mineral aroma behind, a little tannic grip, and some length. Pleasant, limited, for light, tasty fare over the next few years. Now to 2026. | 85
