Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, just easing away from opacity. Warm, sweet, and softly gravelly to smell; gentle fruits. Teasing and pleasing; lots of understated attraction here, and more roundness and harmony than most (though less vivaciously fresh fruit). A contrast on the palate, since it is packed with intense and vivacious fruit in smooth, pure, alluring style. Admirable depth and concentration; some fine-grained tannins shape the wine and give it classical poise. A thoroughly satisfying reading of the vintage, and a wine that will drink well for a decade. | 90
Michael Schuster | Still quite closed on the nose, with more mineral than fruit scents for now; elegantly balanced, medium-full wine, fresh and finely tannic, and very nicely balanced on the palate. A beautiful flavor: sweet, pure, transparent, delicate, long, intricate, and aromatic—a really lovely expression of Margaux—and with excellent, fruit-fragrant length to follow. This is complete and fine, and a particularly rewarding expression of the vintage. It does need a bit of time yet, and a still slightly dry wood tannin texture says that time in bottle will reward, with a mellowing of feel, a lovely bouquet, and even more subtlety. I look forward. 2025–35+. | 92
